I'm quite familiar with the Maneki-neko (and I've seen one in real life) and I can totally see that with this character. In fact, I was reminded of it even before I read the description.
The attire design looks like something of Arabic origins (to me at least), which really fit. As for the anatomy, proportions seem to be correct. I suppose the only real nitpick I can point out is that there's a bit of clipping around the top of her shoulder in some frames.
Other than that, great work and great animation, nya!
